Primary vs. Backup Internet for Miami Businesses
Every Miami business should have two internet connections. Here's how to think about building a resilient WAN.
Primary WAN
Your main connection — speed + reliability first
- Fiber first: AT&T Business Fiber (symmetric, SLA-backed)
- Cable fallback: Comcast Business or Breezeline
- Goal: lowest latency + highest uptime SLA
- Static IP often required for hosted PBX / VPN
- Choose based on your building — use the map above
Backup / Failover WAN
Automatic failover when primary goes down
- T-Mobile 5G: 20–50ms latency, no install fee, plug-in gateway
- Starlink: works anywhere, ~40ms latency, great for disaster recovery
- Configure SD-WAN or dual-WAN router for automatic failover
- Zero downtime when your primary ISP has an outage
- iFeeltech configures dual-WAN with Ubiquiti UniFi routers

Frequently Asked Questions
What business internet providers serve Miami-Dade County?
The primary business ISPs in Miami-Dade are AT&T Business Fiber (expanding fiber coverage), Comcast Business (widest cable coverage), and Breezeline (south Miami-Dade communities). For backup WAN, T-Mobile 5G Business Internet and Starlink Business are available countywide. Some MDU buildings (especially in Miami Beach and Brickell) have exclusive contracts with Hotwire Communications.
Is AT&T Fiber available for businesses in Miami?
Yes — AT&T Business Fiber is available in many Miami-Dade areas including Downtown Miami, Brickell, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, Doral, and parts of Miami Beach. AT&T offers symmetric speeds from 300 Mbps to 5 Gbps starting at $80/month. Use the address lookup above to check availability at your specific location.
What is Breezeline and where does it serve in Miami-Dade?
Breezeline (formerly Atlantic Broadband) is a cable and fiber ISP serving primarily south Miami-Dade communities including Homestead, Florida City, Cutler Bay, Palmetto Bay, and Naranja. It is often the primary or only cable ISP option in those areas. For pricing, contact Breezeline directly as rates are negotiated per location.
Should I use T-Mobile 5G or Starlink as my primary business internet?
Both are best suited as backup WAN (failover) connections rather than primary internet for most businesses. T-Mobile 5G offers low latency (20–50ms) and is excellent for failover. Starlink has higher latency (25–60ms) but works anywhere — ideal for disaster recovery or locations with no wired options. For primary WAN, fiber (AT&T or Breezeline) or Comcast cable will provide more consistent performance.
Why do some Miami buildings only have Hotwire Communications?
Hotwire Communications specializes in multi-dwelling unit (MDU) buildings — condos, apartments, and mixed-use properties — and often signs exclusive agreements with building owners to provide the in-building fiber infrastructure. This is common in Miami Beach condos, Brickell, and Edgewater. If you're moving into a building with a Hotwire exclusive, you may not be able to get AT&T or Comcast directly. Check with your building management before signing an office lease.
How accurate is this coverage map?
The coverage data is curated from ISP service area maps and FCC Broadband Map public data. The address lookup geocodes your address to a zip code using OpenStreetMap and then shows curated coverage for that zip. ISP coverage changes frequently — always verify availability at your specific address with the provider directly before signing a lease or internet contract.
